My community services
I regularly go to the kindergarten in my former hometown Eisenberg, where I spend time with the kids. We are playing together, making craft projects like drawing, painting i.e. and, in addition I support the kindergarten teachers in events and bake sales. In a second project I will create a calendar with some of my pictures. All the people, who help me, the photographer, the designer and the sellers do this for free. This is the reason why we are able to donate 100% of the money to two organizations: 50% to the Children’s cancer charity in Lebanon and 50% to the self-help group for dialysis in Jena. Let me tell you why I will donate to these two organizations.
From 2008 to 2009 I spent a school year abroad in Beirut/Lebanon. During this time I lived by my Lebanese grandmother. At the end of my school year she died of acute renal failure. I was very sad about her death. On the other hand I have been happy, that she could live several years, because of the on time help and right diagnosis of German doctors in 1995. So she was able to see my growing up and I was able to spend lucky time with her. In 2012 I have been in Lebanon for several weeks. Amongst others I visited a Children’s cancer hospital where I have seen many ill children with eyes, full with hope for wonders, eyes, which are unforgettable for me. |
