When I was a child, I got already the insight of many different countries in Asia. Thanks to my parents who were travelling a lot, I could see that it’s not usual to have a high life standard like in my country Switzerland. I travelled a lot in Thailand and I saw how poor some people are. But they are satisfied with what they have. In many countries, where is developed, we have everything but we want even more. So I talked with my parents and they have the same opinion. So in 2008 it came, that we asked for a god child. Now we support him financial and we write him letters regularly. One day we had the chance to visit him! It was just amazing! I’ll never forget this day.

We could play with each other, having dinner together (my family and he with his parents). Since that I also want to help active. Not only spending money. I want to support them and get on in life. So on my journey in summer 2011 (Malaysia) and 2013 (Cambodia) I helped children to learn English and the most interesting thing; how to get on in life! I was teaching English in schools and I was showing them what’s important in life. For me it’s only important that they are happy; and they are. I still have contact with the local teachers and their students. In Cambodia there is also a Swiss doctor who has built hospitals and is helping small children. So every Saturday he gives a concert for earning money and we supported him in this way. My biggest dream is, that I can work and live once somewhere in Asia. I cannot be in Europe and only spending money – I want to help also active! I love children with all my heart.

I know that also the parents of these children have a difficult situation, so it’s my pleasure to help everybody I can. This winter I go to the Philippines and I have already informed me for volunteering work there. I’m really lucky to live in a country with high standard (health, education) but I think that everybody deserves health and education. So we just have to share it with others! So when I have finished my studies I will live abroad and make my dream come true. So during my studies I support them financially and in summer on my journeys. My parents support our god child also financially. I’m proud of them that they also want to help them and make me happy. I go to school Monday – Friday. So on the weekend I work in a restaurant to earn money for donating.

These donations make me a little bit less sad. Poverty and richness; so near each other but two completely different things. So I’m very proud to have the chance representing Switzerland at the Miss World elections. Miss World with a charity background – this made me apply for Miss Switzerland World elections in our country, Any now to he here in Indonesia let me seem to make my dream nearly come true.
